Detailed Product Overview
As the North American Charging Standard (NACS) becomes increasingly dominant, owners of Type 2 (European) electric vehicles often find themselves unable to utilize available AC charging infrastructure. Our NACS to Type 2 Adapter is engineered to provide a seamless “plug-and-play” experience.
Whether you are charging a European import in North America or navigating regions transitioning to NACS infrastructure, this adapter ensures you can tap into Level 1 and Level 2 AC power without technical hurdles. The ergonomic handle design and secure locking mechanism guarantee that your charging session remains uninterrupted and safe.

4. Safety & Reliability
High-amperage AC charging requires rigorous safety protocols. Our adapter is built to industrial standards to protect both the user and the vehicle’s On-Board Charger (OBC):
-
Dual Thermal Protection: Built-in sensors monitor internal temperatures. If the adapter reaches 85°C, it automatically terminates the session to prevent damage.
-
Secure Locking System: The adapter is designed to lock into the vehicle’s charge port during operation, preventing accidental disconnection or theft while charging.
-
High Conductivity: Silver-plated contacts (5μm thickness) minimize electrical resistance and heat buildup, ensuring consistent power delivery over thousands of cycles.
-
Impact Resistance: The housing is designed to withstand a 1-meter drop onto concrete and can survive accidental vehicle run-overs (up to 2 tons).
-
Certifications: Fully CE and FCC certified, following the safety guidelines outlined in IEC 61851.

6. FAQ
-
Can this be used at a Tesla Supercharger? No. This adapter is strictly for AC Level 1 and Level 2 charging (Wall Connectors and Destination Chargers). It is not compatible with DC Fast Charging (Superchargers).
-
Does it support 3-phase charging? While the Type 2 vehicle side supports 3-phase, most NACS/Tesla AC sources are single-phase. The adapter will safely deliver power on the available phase.
-
Will it work with my vehicle? It is compatible with all EVs using an IEC 62196-2 (Type 2) inlet, including European versions of Tesla, VW, BMW, Audi, and Hyundai.
